Hammin’ it up at Tyent USA
I enjoy cooking and I enjoy food. I especially enjoy foods that you can nosh on for a day or two after the initial meal is over. Ham is one of those foods. We don’t fix ham all that often but when we do, it’s a real treat. You can have a great meal and then for the next few days its maybe ham and eggs for breakfast, a ham sandwich for lunch and so on. While I really like the taste of ham, what I don’t like about it is the fact that often times ham can be a bit tough. I don’t like tough ham so I use a recipe that guarantees …
Tyent USA-Following The Watery Path
From the Source to the Tap – The Producing of Municipal Water
Most of us are familiar with the terms, tap water, municipal water, city water and others in reference to the water that flows from the faucets in our homes. The collecting of that water, the process of cleaning it up, and the labyrinth of pipes necessary to bring water to our houses, while simple in its theory, is collectively somewhat involved.
Admittedly, we probably don’t put much thought into how it all works. Where that water from the tap actually comes from, where it went, and how it was treated to make it safe to drink…if it is safe to drink.
I wanted to know more …

Water at Work in the Body
Water, the essential ingredient for life on planet Earth. At its core, water is a molecule comprised of two atoms, one oxygen and two-hydrogen. If you want to know what the structure looks like, imagine a Mickey Mouse face of three round circles with the hydrogen atoms being the ears.
Opposites Attract
With a positive charge at the top (the ears) and a negative charge at the bottom (the face) of the molecule, the law of attraction is in full sway. It is miraculous what the bonding of those three atoms produces. There is no other substance on earth that in its natural state is liquid (water), solid (ice), and a gas …

The State of Water in the World
Clean water is headline news as of late. When you look at the stories coming out of Ohio and their poisoned water supply, the West Virginia chemical spill, California drought and the banning of plastic water bottles in San Francisco, water is getting some big time press time.
Yet, what of the rest of the world? What is the status of the water supply around the globe? How are people affected by the lack of clean water or even the unavailability of water at all?
Let’s take a look.
According to data collected by the US Census Bureau, in 2012, the population of the United States was 313.9 million people. In …

A Healthy Homemade Hippy Snack
It’s a busy world these days with much more to do and less time to do it in.
When we’re out and about or on the go and begin to feel those gnawing little hunger pangs, it is tempting to grab a gooey candy bar or an icing-laced sweet roll to get that blood sugar back up and give us that mid-day pick-me-up we so desperately need.
I could list all the unhealthy ingredients in a candy bar or doughnut but chemistry was never a strong suit of mine and I’m not sure I have the room here.
Today we are offering up a healthy trail-mix that you can make at home and …

The High Cost of Clean Water…is Rising
Have you ever wondered what the annual costs are of drinking bottled water? Probably not. There is much to consider when figuring out the price. Here are five facts that most bottled water drinkers probably don’t think about before they open that cooler door at the store and grab a bottle.
- Americans buy 50 billion plastic bottles of water each year
- It requires 17 million barrels of oil to produce those bottles
- We only recycle plastic at a rate of 23% so 38 billion bottles hit the landfill annually
- The recommended 8 glasses of water a day will cost you about $50 from your tap yearly
Clean Drinking Water Becoming Scarcer Everyday
Drinking Water Becoming a Precious Commodity
If you read the paper, watch the news, go on-line or listen to the radio, you are probably aware of all the water woes going on in this country as of late.
A chemical spill in West Virginia, flooding in Alabama and now poisoned water in Ohio to name but a few places that are struggling to find clean water. While in California, some residents of that drought-plagued state are struggling to find water of any kind. In some areas on the West Coast, you can be fined up to $500.00 for watering your lawn.
Last weekend in Toledo, Ohio, and surrounding areas, some 400,000 residents were warned not to …

This is a Great Time to $ave a Thousand Dollars and More!
It’s human nature. When we go to buy something, we want a bargain. We look for the best product at the best price. I have no problem whatsoever driving a few extra miles if I know that gas is thirty cents a gallon cheaper at a certain station. We cash in coupons at the store that save us a dollar or two and it adds up. A good deal is great…but it can’t compare to a great deal.
When you can find an award-winning product, coupled with eye-popping savings, then you really have a bargain.
Tyent’s Carnival of Savings is kicking off the month of …
