HUNGRY! ALL. THE. TIME?

Can you relate to this? Eating what seems like a regular amount of food, but somehow, you’re still hungry? In fact, now you think about it – and especially if you’re trying to eat a little less and drop a few pounds – isn’t hunger there more or less all the time?

HUNGRY ALL THE TIME

Don’t Put Up with Feeling Hungry All the Time!

At this point, you might want to lean into the point we made above – maybe you’re still trying to lose a little of the holiday weight that crept on, or you’re planning ahead for the summer. Fine, but trying to lose weight doesn’t mean being hungry, and it definitely doesn’t mean being hungry all the time.

Whether you’re trying to lose weight, or it’s just that your regular diet is leaving you feeling unsatisfied, feeling hungry all the time is a pretty miserable thing. The good news is that you don’t have to put up with it a moment longer!

Don’t Eat More, Eat Smarter!

The answer to feeling full for longer isn’t about eating more, it’s about eating smarter. To feel satisfied for longer, you need to eat fiber-rich foods that leave you feeling satiated. Try these 5 fabulous ideas to knock all-the-time hunger on the head!

1. Oatmeal makes the best breakfast. Filling, easy to prepare and tweak to your tastes, cooked oatmeal contains around 4 grams of fiber per cup. It stabilizes your blood sugar and leaves you feeling pleasantly full for longer.

2. Eggs are amazing. However you love to enjoy them, an egg’s ability to keep you feeling full isn’t to do with fiber, but protein instead – around 6 grams in a single egg.

3. Nuts are the perfect snack: easy to transport, they can be stashed in a pocket or backpack until needed. Rich in healthful fats, plant-based protein and fiber, nuts are a tasty way to feel full for longer.

4. Avocado is one of the most delicious and nutritious ways of losing that ‘hungry all the time’ feeling. Packed with fiber, vitamins, minerals and good fats, there are so many delectable ways to prepare an avocado, from adding a buttery, velvety texture to smoothies, to playing a starring role in a dialed-up Eggs Benedict, avocados truly are a feeling-full food hero!

5. Greek Yogurt is as good for breakfast as it is for a healthful dessert in the evening. One cup of the delicious creamy stuff can contain up to 20 grams of protein, and adding a sprinkle of seeds or nuts will ensure that you stay full until your next meal.

Processed foods, sugary foods and anything light on fiber and/or protein will ultimately leave you feeling unsatisfied, so you either go hungry or end up eating more.
