                                           Comfort Food…Manicotti

Manicotti  I thought today would be a good day to go Italian and I’m sure my boss will agree.

With Autumn fast approaching, it’s time for some comfort food and for me, one of my favorite feel-good dishes is Manicotti.  Manicotti shells stuffed with a delicious blend of cheeses and ground beef, baked in a tasty tomato sauce is hard to beat, and this recipe is one of the best.

In fact, it is aptly named, Best Manicotti.

This recipe is pretty simple to make, great to eat, and guaranteed to give you that eye-closing m-mm response with the first bite.

I’ve also tossed in a deliciously simple recipe for some great tasting wedding cookies.

Hammin’ it up at Tyent USA   Turkey with ham sign    I enjoy cooking and I enjoy food.  I especially enjoy foods that you can nosh on for a day or two after the initial meal is over.   Ham is one of those foods.  We don’t fix ham all that often but when we do, it’s a real treat.  You can have a great meal and then for the next few days its maybe ham and eggs for breakfast, a ham sandwich for lunch and so on.   While I really like the taste of ham, what I don’t like about it is the fact that often times ham can be a bit tough.  I don’t like tough ham so I use a recipe that guarantees

Homemade Granola Jar     It’s a busy world these days with much more to do and less time to do it in.

When we’re out and about or on the go and begin to feel those gnawing little hunger pangs, it is tempting to grab a gooey candy bar or an icing-laced sweet roll to get that blood sugar back up and give us that mid-day pick-me-up we so desperately need.

I could list all the unhealthy ingredients in a candy bar or doughnut but chemistry was never a strong suit of mine and I’m not sure I have the room here.

Today we are offering up a healthy trail-mix that you can make at home and

Summer is flying by and the football season is fast approaching.  Many teams begin training camp this very weekend.  And with the coming of football season comes “tail gating time.”  Or at least, tail gating food you can enjoy right at home.

However, you don’t have to fire up the grill for this tasty little appetizer, you just make them up and pop ‘em in the oven for twenty minutes and chow down.

When Sunday rolls around and you need something for the gang to enjoy or just some finger food to munch on, it’s hard to beat sausage cheese balls.  This recipe makes the most delicious sausage balls I, and many others, have ever

                             Chicken Piccata with Marsala Sauce

chef-carrying-a-plate-of-food  Chicken Piccata Marsala.  The name itself has an upper echelon flair to it doesn’t it?

Nevertheless, don’t allow the name to give you pause or cause you to shy away from preparing this wonderfully delicious meal.

While this dish has a fancy name, it is actually quite easy to prepare and has a flavor that will leave you, your family and guests (because you will make it again), licking their lips and clamoring for more.
