Why Drinking Distilled Water Should Never Be a Habit
What Is Distilled Water?
Distilled water is water that has undergone a filtration process. There are many methods of distillation, but all are dependent upon isolating parts at different boiling points. Water is boiled, evaporated, had its vapors captured, and condensed back into H2O. It is not the process, but the effect of the process on the water that makes distilled water a dangerous beverage.

Jumping into our 10-part special now? Why not take a look at the earlier blogs in our great series on how Tyent water ionizers compare to other types of home water machines and products? We give you the facts then it’s up to you to decide for yourself who wins!
Today, we’re looking at how water ionizers stack up against distillers, kicking off with how distilled water is produced. It’s a process with a long and ancient history; Aristotle, the great philosopher and tutor of Alexander the Great, wrote about the steaming of seawater for the purpose of drinking.
We enjoy reading the many questions that good people all over the world send us everyday here at The Tyent Alkaline Water Ionizer Company.
People are curious about all aspects of ionized alkaline water and the machines that produce them. Most questions are very interesting and while many are of a similar nature, they all carry a familiar theme. They want to know what ionized alkaline water is and how it is really any better than “regular” water.
Let’s start with a question within that field of thought.
Is Ionized Alkaline Water Really Any Better Than the Unfiltered Water I Drink Now and if so, How?
Every day at The Tyent Alkaline Water Company, we hear from people world wide with questions about ionized alkaline water and we make every effort to answer them. Is it pure? Is it safe? Is it good for you? And on and on. People have questions…Tyent has answers. Today we’re discussing distilled water.
Today’s first question:
Isn’t Distilled Water Just as Good as Ionized Alkaline Water?
No. If ever there were two opposite waters, it is ionized alkaline water and distilled. Let’s begin with distilled water. Distilled water is highly acidic and safe for drinking for only a short period of time. It is used in industry and in steam irons because it …
Water, the essential ingredient for life on planet Earth. At its core, water is a molecule comprised of two atoms, one oxygen and two-hydrogen. If you want to know what the structure looks like, imagine a Mickey Mouse face of three round circles with the hydrogen atoms being the ears.
With a positive charge at the top (the ears) and a negative charge at the bottom (the face) of the molecule, the law of attraction is in full sway. It is miraculous what the bonding of those three atoms produces. There is no other substance on earth that in its natural state is liquid (water), solid (ice), and a gas …
Before learning about ionized alkaline water, I had only heard of it (I think) but really didn’t know what it was or how it differed from other waters that you buy. I thought it sounded like atom-zapped Alka-Seltzer and I really didn’t know if it was good or bad for you. Therefore, I started researching the subject and learned quite a bit.
Since beginning, I have discovered a fascinating new world where lives a water some would claim possesses healing powers that border on the miraculous. I refer of course, to ionized alkaline water. When you look at the evidence…the scientific evidence, the various and sundry …
