Chemical Enhancers With Your Alkaline Water?
Not very appealing, but here’s the low-down.
The Enagic Leveluk SD501 Electrolysis Enhancer contains – among other things – Sodium Hypochlorite, commonly occurring in household bleach.

The Enagic Leveluk SD501 uses solid plates, which are durable, but don’t provide maximum electrolysis, as the more edges (and therefore surface area) a plate has, the greater the electrolysis.
The Tyent MMP-9090 Turbo’s engineers knew that to increase the electrolysis, they needed to increase the surface area, but not by reverting to mesh plates, which are known to be weaker and prone to deterioration.

Linear v SMPS?
Well, the Enagic Leveluk SD501 uses a linear PSU (power supply unit), which is larger and heavier, has a non-adjustable power supply, is less efficient and prone to overheating.
Tyent MMP-9090 Turbo uses SMPS (Switch Mobile Power Supply), which is a newer, more efficient PSU. The unit is lighter than the old-fashioned linear model; it’s adjustable, and doesn’t overheat. In fact, the Tyent engineers once again went back to the drawing board and came up with not just a SMPS, but an advanced version designed solely for use with ionizers. Impressive work, guys!
Alkaline Water Filter Facts
Both the Enagic Leveluk SD501 and the Tyent MMP-9090 Turbo have filters installed, but not all filters are created equally!
The Enagic Leveluk SD501 has one filter, which contains Calcium Sulphite, a chemical banned in over 30 countries. The filter is a shorter, wider vessel, and is not the ideal shape or size for maximum water filtration.
The Tyent MMP-9090 Turbo has two filters, and employs a filtration method comparable to the filters used on kidney dialysis machines. The dual filtration system and the shape of the filters (longer and narrower, thus ensuring the water passes through maximum filtration) means that the alkaline water produced by the Tyent MMP-9090 Turbo is as pure as possible.
