Real Talk on Why Hydration ACTUALLY Matters

Summer is in full swing! This time of year usually calls for more activities outdoors. Typical summertime fun includes hanging out at the beach or pool, gardening, grilling or simply going for leisurely strolls. All of these activities usually go hand in hand with some amount of sweating. Summer is an especially tough time for folks who have to work outdoors.

It’s so important to stay hydrated during any time of year, but it’s especially important in the summertime when temperatures are soaring. Dehydration can even be downright dangerous!

The Dangers of Not Being Fully Hydrated

Dehydration occurs when you lose more fluid than you take in, and your body doesn’t have enough water and other fluids to carry out its normal functions. If you start to feel thirsty, that means you are already dehydrated! A mere 5% drop in water levels in the body can cause a 25-30% loss in energy. Symptoms of dehydration include:

  • Dry mouth
  • Thirst
  • Decreased and dark urine
  • Dry skin
  • Dizziness
  • Headache
  • Sleepiness

The Incredible Benefits of a Truly Hydrated Body

Weight Loss – Water increases your metabolism and helps you feel full! Did you know that thirst can be mistaken for hunger? Drinking ice cold water helps to burn calories because your body has to work to bring down that water temperature.

Increased Energy – One of the symptoms of dehydration is sleepiness and loss of energy. What better way to combat those feelings than to grab a nice, tall glass of water. Water helps your blood to transport oxygen to your cells. More oxygen means more energy!

Less Stress – Your brain tissue is 85% water. If you’re dehydrated, it’s causing stress on both your brain and your body. Decrease those stress levels by increasing your water intake.

Rejuvenated Skin – Fine lines and wrinkles are deeper when you’re dehydrated. Water is nature’s own beauty cream. Increased water intake results in hydrated and plump skin cells which can give you a youthful appearance. Water also flushes out impurities and improves circulation and blood flow, leaving your face clean, clear and glowing.

Why Ionized Alkaline Water Hydrates You Best!

You just read about some of the wonderful benefits of staying properly hydrated. Those benefits are even better with ionized alkaline water. Tyent Water is 6 times more hydrating than regular water due to it’s smaller cluster size. Smaller water molecules are more easily absorbed by the cells of your body, therefore increasing the benefits of hydration.

Tyent alkaline water also has something that regular water doesn’t have… antioxidants! Think of antioxidants as the good guys in your body fighting off free radicals. Free radicals damage the cells in the body and have been linked to contributing to chronic diseases from aging including cancer, dementia, vision loss and heart disease. Ionized alkaline water has the most antioxidant power immediately after you pour yourself a glass from your water ionizer machine. Think of Tyent Water as Super Water!

  1. My little son likes to drink juices over water no matter what kind of bottle I put the water in. Any tips on how to get him to drink more water?

    1. Hi, Braxton. We suggest you mix fruits and vegetables in your water to make flavored detox water. You can slice lemons, watermelons, strawberries, or even cucumbers to make your water more appetizing to your son. Mix these with alkaline water for the best results!
