Let’s not beat around the bush.  If we ignore for a moment all the important benefits of hydrogen alkaline water and look purely at the issue of filtration, it’s no secret that there are cheaper ways to filter your water than with a water ionizer. Â
At some point, many people consider buying a jug filter. Â Pitchers are cheap and easy to use, but how do they really compare? Â
Putting You in The Pitcher
Even the most high-end and technically advanced filter pitchers have only a tiny proportion of the capabilities of a water ionizer. Â They remove some impurities from your water and make it taste better, but quite …
Most of us know how it feels to become temporarily thirsty, and then slaking that thirst with a long, cool drink that restores our bodies to a healthily hydrated state again. Â This common type of dehydration is known as temporary dehydration.
Thirst Doesn’t Come First
It’s worth noting that although we’re sometimes guilty of waiting until we feel thirsty to drink, thirst isn’t one of the early warning signs of dehydration.  By the time we feel thirsty, our bodies are already experiencing other signs of dehydration, such as needing to urinate less and having a dry or sticky mouth. Â
Chronic dehydration is more serious. Â Known to occur as a …
The PR job is a good one, to be fair. Â When it comes to bottled water, people are prepared to throw a lot of money at it, regardless of the environmental price and the sky-high cost to their pocket. Â
Bottled water costs more than tap water.  A lot more.  In fact, a new report from The National Resources Defense Council (NRDC) found that some people are paying an astonishing 10,000 times more per gallon for bottled water than they are for the water that comes out of the tap.
But here’s the next shocker: frequently the water that you buy in a bottle is…erm…tap water. Â
However you get your fitness fix, do you ever feel as though you could be getting more out of it?  Or maybe putting more into it?  As spring approaches, it’s a great time of year to think about how we can energize ourselves and really put a seasonal spring in our step!

If you’re among the just-over-half of the population who didn’t make a New Year resolution, then by now you might fall into one of two camps.  The first is being oblivious to the whole thing and simply getting on with life without the pressure/pleasure of a self-imposed goal to work towards.
The second camp includes those who look on with a touch of envy at the bright-eyed fervor of those winning at their resolutions.  They have a goal.  A “thing.” Something to help pass the long, decidedly un-festive January days.  Dry January?  Veganuary?   At this stage of the month, if you haven’t given something up, then you might be feeling …
Something else has been identified as a potential health hazard in our water. Â To add to the cocktail of potential contaminants that flow out of taps across America, salt has recently been identified as the latest water worry. Â
How Our Soil Gets Salty
Increased use of road salt is a major cause, as is mining, fossil-fuel production and the use of some fertilizers. Â The salt seeps into the ground where excessive sodium dislodges the stable soil minerals such as calcium and potassium, changing the composition of the soil itself.
Of course, whatever is in the soil will end up seeping through to our water supply. Â The salty water eventually trickles through the layers …

The latest trend that seems to be gathering attention in 2018 is the craze for drinking so-called “raw water.”
When a small, Oregon-based start-up company started selling “pristine mountain spring water” to people in the San Francisco area, they tapped into the fashionable notion that the more “natural” something is, then the better for you it will be.
What is “Raw Water”?
Raw water is, quite simply, water that springs from the earth; or in this particular case, from “an ancient aquifer.” It is completely untreated and unfiltered.
One of several companies selling raw water around the country says that filtering and treating water to remove contaminants “disrupts healthy bacterias” that would …
