Is there a lot of wasted water when using a water ionizer?

We love going green at Tyent, and we don’t want to contribute to worldwide waste. That being said, there is acidic water produced with a water ionizer, and that water is not to be consumed by people or animals. That being said, however, the water can be used for a variety of household tasks, from cleaning and sanitizing to curing problems like ingrown toenails and Athlete’s Foot. Start here for a few non-drinking uses for water from a water ionizer.

How should I proceed with drinking the differing levels of alkaline water?

We’re glad you asked! Start out at the lowest setting for alkalinity. Drink this water for at least 2 weeks. Your body may go into what is called a detoxification-phase (detox), because it has a lot of acidic waste build up that is now able to release from your body. It is best to take some time for your body to adjust to the water so you will feel your best during this detox phase. If you experience any discomfort, either drink less water or stop altogether and consult your physician.

Keep in mind that if you have been eating and drinking unhealthy, or highly acidic foods and beverages for many years, that you body may show some adjustment signs to your new healthy lifestyle. So as long as you are having a pleasant experience with the water after two weeks, then move up to the next higher level of alkalinity.  Or, if you have felt any unpleasantness, but it has subsided, then move up to the next level. There’s no need to rush. After the following two weeks you are ready to move to level 3. Level 3 is the final and ordinary “drinking level” for ionized alkaline water.

What kind of water is appropriate for washing vegetables?

Alkaline turbo is best for washing vegetables, which is between 11-12 pH. Have you seen this video demonstrating acidic water washing vegetables? It’s inspiring, and a little gross at the same time, to see how clean your vegetables can be (and how dirty they might be now).
