There was also a big-hearted offer from Blackwater Draw Brewing Company, promising that affected residents could collect as much water as they needed. But this isn’t regular water – it’s reverse osmosis water, used in the brewing process.
Why Reverse Osmosis Water Isn’t Safe
Reverse osmosis water is invaluable wherever water infrastructure is unstable or non-existent – in war zones and as a result of natural disaster, for example. Certainly anyone affected by Hurricane Harvey in need of water would be grateful for Blackwater’s generosity. But reverse osmosis water isn’t a long-term solution.
The reason lies in the process that produces it. It’s created by forcing water through semi-permeable membranes to remove bacteria and contaminants.

You mean to say you keep iron IN our water because you think it’s HEALTHY?! I’ve been drinking this stuff for 5 years now? Are you serious right now. We all have iron overload we live on an iron planet checking ferritin in peoples plasma tells you absolutely nothing about their iron status. You may have just lost a customer if you can’t explain this… hope you realize the inorganic iron (not bound to carbon) is not what we need and even if it is the recommended intake is 1mg. How much is in this water we are consuming? Need to know. Thank you

You don’t have to worry about iron being present in your alkaline water because that’s actually one of the heavy metals that our dual filters remove, and they can remove up to 99.6% of it. If iron is present in your water, it would be in your source water before it passes through your Tyent water ionizer for purification and ionization. What then remains in your ionized water is the healthy stuff, including antioxidants like molecular hydrogen and essential minerals like magnesium, calcium, zinc, and potassium (if your source water contains it already).
