Thanks for your engaging questions, too. To clarify, hydrogen water refers to water that has dissolved hydrogen molecules or H2. Alkaline water is produced through electrolysis and has higher pH levels and richer amounts of hydrogen than regular water. Both provide multiple health benefits. At Tyent, while our machines generally produce hydrogen-rich alkaline water, we also have a Hybrid unit that makes hydrogen water at a neutral pH level, which is good to drink with meals.
In traditional water ionizers, the higher the pH levels, the richer the amounts of hydrogen there is in the water. Typically, to get very high levels of molecular hydrogen, you had to raise the pH of the water to levels that are sometimes too high to drink. However, since Tyent added the feature Molecular Hydrogen Boost to our water ionizers, you’re able to get high levels of molecular hydrogen at a 9.5 pH, which is the healthiest to drink. We’re proud to say that our alkaline water is superior to that of other brands.

How about your ionizers? What are the plates made out of?
Hi, Taylor! All Tyent water ionizers are made of premium hybrid plates. If you know anything about plates and science in general, then you know that the sole purpose of an ionizer plate is to provide electrolysis to create the amazing ionized alkaline water that we all know and love. When solid plates (Kangen/Enagic) alone are used, there is not enough electrolysis produced to provide optimum -ORP and pH levels, which is why Enagic must add chemicals to their water to get better results.

Isn’t distilled water a good water option already?
Hi, Kendall. Distilled water lacks essential minerals and antioxidants that your body needs to function well. It gets rid of the good and bad stuff in your source water, and it may not necessarily flush out the inorganic mineral content in your body either.
Plus, since distilled water is lacking in mineral content, it won’t replenish minerals that you lose after sweating. Distilled water is thus especially dangerous to rely on if it’s the only kind of liquid you’re drinking, which is why it’s not a good choice for a water fast.
Even WHO advises against drinking distilled or demineralized water due to its low or nonexistent mineral content. Distilled water could also mess with water distribution in your body and thus “may compromise the function of vital organs.” Additionally, you are putting yourself at risk of consuming toxic metals as this aggressive water more readily dissolves those in the places it’s stored in and passes through (ex. pipes, tanks).
